Good reminders, I know I’m personally a slow learner and it's always good to be refreshed, and to keep learning and growing. It’s good to keep humbling ourselves and to keep listening, so thank you HAVEN for this conference.

It already seems like God is using the last 24 hours in a mighty way - for His honor and His glory!! Thank you to the sponsors! And thank you sooooo much for hosting HAVEN '24! Another one of God's provisions!

Together, let’s nurture a godly community filled with love and strength, where every voice is heard, and every survivor is supported.
Mark your calendars and plan to attend.
Learn from others' experiences.
Become a safe community and person.
God has revealed this evil in our midst. We now need to respond, and equip our future generations with the knowledge and understanding that fosters a safe and healthy community. Join us as we learn from our speakers who have cared for abuse victims and have helped churches respond well.
Expert Brad Hambrick
learned through many years in the ministry. During this time four core convictions began to emerge in his ministry that defined his approach to counseling:
(1) the necessity of the gospel
(2) the centrality of the local church
(3) the primacy and finality of Scripture
(4) a balanced perspective on how the gospel speaks to both sin and suffering.
Expert Darby Strickland
did not begin as a professional expert. She didn’t intend to specialize in abuse, but she ended up drawing out the abused as they recognized her careful use of Scripture, her godly compassion, and her humble and respectful love.
Faithful Together: Building a Safe Church Community
Church Community United
We can be a church community united, standing against the devil and his use of abuse to harm and destroy the church.
Have a Balanced Approach
We can have a balanced approach that is centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Be a Safe Place
The church can and should be a safe place for those burdened by the hatred and devastation that abuse causes.
